Latinos Monumentales
Monumental Impact Deserves Monumental Recognition.
Monumental Impact
Deserves Monumental
Recognition.
In a country where less than three percent of monuments honor Latinos, you are more likely to find one of a mermaid. It is a striking reflection of how Latino contributions to culture, technology, music, and art are too often celebrated quietly, if at all. Despite shaping American life in monumental ways, Latino leaders rarely see their impact reflected back in the world around them. During Hispanic Heritage Month, a time often marked by token gestures, Xfinity saw an opportunity to do something truly meaningful: to build monuments where none existed, and to make visibility itself a form of honor.
Introducing Latinos Monumentales, a campaign that turned social media into a museum of modern monuments. Inspired by TikTok’s “Fake-Out-Home” trend, Xfinity reimagined the idea of tribute through digital artistry, unveiling hyperreal monuments that appeared across cities and screens. Each sculpture celebrated a living Latino hero, from tech pioneer Cristina Amaya to classical music visionary Paula Madrigal, honoring the way they use connectivity to uplift their communities.
