The Tapes We Break Today, Opens Roads For Tapes We Break Tomorrow
INSIGHT
Before women ever reach the starting line, they face invisible tapes holding them back: stereotypes, expectations, and systems built without them in mind. 89% of girls feel pressure to act the way a girl is “supposed” to. 51% drop out of sports by age 17. 83% of college coaches have never received formal Title IX training.
The message is clear. Progress isn’t just about winning races; it’s about changing the rules of the course. Every time a woman breaks a barrier, she doesn’t just move forward for herself. She opens the lane for those coming next.

IDEA
Tape Disruptors is a MOVEment dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of female barrier breakers in sports, fashion, and culture. Launched during Women’s History Month, this social-first series reimagines the finish-line tape, once a symbol of limitation, as something meant to be broken.
Through cross-generational storytelling, the series pairs trailblazers from different worlds to have unfiltered conversations about the barriers women still face and the bold ways they are rewriting the playbook. From destigmatizing periods in sports to balancing motherhood and athletic identity, these conversations confront taboos head-on and celebrate the transformation from “Women shouldn’t” to “Women can.”
